The green one on my white desk is the right decision. It stays out. No hiding it when guests visit.
Weighted base means it doesn't move when you pull tape. That sounds obvious but my previous one was useless for exactly that reason.

Purple is a very specific shade. More plum than violet. Works brilliantly with grey and white.
